Walter Benjamin Feldheim studied law at Ruhr University Bochum and completed his legal clerkship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Hamm.

As a research assistant in two medium-sized law firms in Düsseldorf, he gained experience in the field of intellectual property law even before his legal clerkship.
