Patent Engineer

Dr. Daniela Bovenkamp holds a doctorate in Medical Physics and a diploma in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on medical physics and imaging.

During her studies at the Medical University of Vienna (MUW) and at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien), Dr. Daniela Bovenkamp worked on femtosecond lasers (titanium:sapphire laser), high-resolution laser scanning microscopes and the development of optical systems for cancer diagnostics based on Raman spectroscopy, optical coherence tomography and non-linear optical microscopy techniques. She was further involved with automated cancer tissue detection based on artificial intelligence. During an internship at the Austrian Institute of Technologies (AIT), she gained further experience in the field of quantum cryptography.

Dr. Daniela Bovenkamp joined the firm in June 2021 as a patent engineer. In parallel, she is completing the training to become a German Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney. The core tasks of Dr. Daniela Bovenkamp include the evaluation of patent searches, drafting of patent and utility model applications. She further participates in examination proceedings before the DPMA and the EPO by evaluating and processing office actions.
